Job summary

Connect2Dorset is seeking an interim Head of Permanence to lead strategic and operational work for children in care in Dorset. The role is hybrid, based at County Hall in Dorchester, with a daily rate of £600 and an immediate start.

You will oversee permanence planning, reunification efforts, and work with multiple teams to ensure high quality care planning and outcomes. This is an Inside IR35, immediate-start contract opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to deliver statutory social work service pathways.
• Lead and manage three permanence teams and the service manager for permanence.
• Collaborate with health, IRO, virtual school, fostering and residential teams to achieve outcomes.
