Marie Curie is seeking an interim Head of Edinburgh Hospice Transformation to lead cultural and workforce change across Edinburgh Hospice and associated Lothian services. You will quickly build trust, co-create an action plan, and guide delivery with senior teams during a six-month assignment.

The role requires regular on-site presence at Edinburgh Hospice and visibility across Lothian community services, with strong partnership with People teams to address wellbeing, attendance and staff

• Substantial senior leadership experience in a complex, people-intensive organisation.
• Proven track record of improving culture and workforce performance through change.
• Ability to establish credibility quickly and engage constructively with diverse views.
• Sound judgement in sensitive people matters and partner with People teams.
• Strong programme leadership turning insight into practical action.
• Clear, confident communication with executive and senior teams.
• Resilience to maintain pace in evolving environments.

Responsabilités

• Provide visible, compassionate leadership across Edinburgh Hospice and community services.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to understand strengths, challenges and priorities.
• Lead a structured cultural, workforce and people review using staff insight and data.
• Co-produce a focused action plan with milestones, responsibilities and measures.
• Work with People/HR to address workforce, recruitment, retention, wellbeing and attendance issues.
• Strengthen leadership capability, role clarity and staff voice across staff groups.
• Provide assurance on progress, risks and dependencies and oversee handover.
