Job summary

CARBOGEN AMCIS Manchester is seeking an experienced, hands-on Engineering leader to provide stability, direction and practical support at our manufacturing site. This interim role offers breadth and impact, with the possibility of permanent opportunities for an exceptional candidate.

You will lead the Engineering & Maintenance Team, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and help shape the site's CapEx plan and long-term engineering strategy.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in engineering within pharma or fine chemicals.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance, reliability and capital projects end to end.
• Strong knowledge of statutory and process-safety compliance (ATEX/DSEAR, PUWER, PSSR).

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering & Maintenance Team, set priorities and develop capability.
• Ensure safety, compliance and reliability across plant and facilities.
• Deliver CapEx projects from business case to commissioning and qualification.
• Oversee CMMS, asset strategy and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with Site Leadership Team and cross-functional partners.
