Job summary

JSS, a fast-growing international business, seeks a Group Technical Accounting Manager on a contract basis in London. You will support quarterly US GAAP reporting, external audit, and UK FRS 102 statutory reporting within the Group Reporting team.

You will prepare technical accounting papers, advise on complex matters, drive process improvements, and partner with senior stakeholders to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/US CPA or equivalent.
• Circa 6+ years’ relevant experience.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and experience across multiple GAAPs.
• Experience preparing/reviewing technical accounting papers.
• Strong external audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical accounting papers and position memos.
• Support quarterly Group reporting and external reporting under US GAAP.
• Act as a key point of contact for external auditors.
• Support UK statutory reporting under FRS 102.
• Identify control gaps and drive process improvements.
• Advise on complex and ad-hoc accounting matters.
• Support finance training and wider Group projects.

We’re working with a fast-paced, international business looking to appoint a Group Technical Accounting Manager on a contract basis.

Sitting within the Group Reporting team, this is a high-profile role supporting quarterly US GAAP reporting, technical accounting and external audit, while partnering with finance teams across the group.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing technical accounting papers and position memos
• Supporting quarterly Group reporting and external reporting under US GAAP
• Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors
• Supporting UK statutory reporting under FRS 102
• Identifying control gaps and driving process improvements
• Advising on complex and ad-hoc accounting matters
• Supporting finance training and wider Group projects

What we’re looking for:

• ACA / ACCA / US CPA qualified or equivalent
• Circa 6+ years’ relevant experience
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and experience working across multiple GAAPs
• Proven experience preparing/reviewing technical accounting papers
• Strong external audit experience
• Listed company experience would be advantageous
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and delivering against demanding deadlines
