Job summary

KCR in Middlesbrough is seeking an Interim Group Management Accountant for a 6-month FTC to support the finance function with accurate management information, lead budgeting and forecasting and assist year-end reporting and audits.

The role involves working with senior stakeholders, maintaining financial controls and driving process improvements within the finance team. Prior ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent and strong Excel and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience producing management accounts and financial reports.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and auditors.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, financial reports and analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling activities.
• Review financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Oversee VAT returns and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support year-end accounts preparation and external audits.
• Provide financial business partnering and advice to operational managers.
• Line manage finance team members and support workload planning.
• Contribute to process improvements, reporting enhancements and financial efficiencies.
