Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Interim Grant Finance Assistant in London to manage the financial administration of funded projects within the Not For Profit sector. You will keep project records accurate and support the Accounting & Finance department during a temporary assignment.

Responsibilities include posting journals, reconciling project accounts, raising invoices, and producing funder reports. Candidates should have at least two years in post-award grant finance and Not For Profit

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in a post-award research finance or grant finance environment.
• Experience in Not For Profit and Charities.
• Experience using integrated finance systems (Agresso/Unit4 desirable).
• Strong understanding of project accounting and grant management.
• Experience producing financial reports and reconciliations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial administration of funded projects from set-up through to closure.
• Maintain project information within the finance system and ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare and post journals, adjustments, and overhead allocations where required.
• Reconcile project accounts and investigate variances or discrepancies.
• Raise invoices and support funding claims in line with grant requirements.
• Prepare financial reports for funders and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor project expenditure against budgets and forecast future activity.
• Provide advice and guidance on project finances and funding regulations.
• Support process improvements, system developments, and ad hoc finance projects.
• Work collaboratively across teams to resolve complex financial queries and issues.
