Job summary

BLT is seeking an experienced Interim Trade & Customs Manager to support a senior tax leader in developing and implementing robust international trade processes within a complex global manufacturing environment. Based in Warwickshire, the role focuses on managing an established customs team and ensuring import/export compliance from an operational perspective.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of UK and international customs regulations.
• Proven experience managing customs compliance within a multinational environment.
• Experience leading or coordinating teams and managing operational workloads.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement robust trade and customs processes and controls.
• Lead the UK Customs Operations day-to-day and strategic activities.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners on compliance.
• Validate import/export information and address any issues via cross-functional meetings.
• Develop standard operating procedures to ensure company-wide compliance.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement contingency plans.
• Produce progress reports/presentations on import/export operations and status.
• Identify and drive efficiency improvements across Trade and Customs operations.
