Compassion in World Farming International is seeking an experienced interim Global Senior Events Manager to provide continuity and senior-level judgement across donor events, both in-person and virtual, during a period of transition.
The role is remote with some attendance at Godalming, Surrey, UK and travel to event venues; 2–3 days per week; immediate start; UK and US fundraising markets; budget, stakeholder management, and handover to the permanent postholder.
Role type: Interim freelance/consultancy assignment, approximately 2 to 3 days per week
Duration: Initial three-month assignment, or until the permanent postholder is in place
Location: Remote, with some attendance at our Godalming, Surrey and travel to event venues or meetings as required
Fee: Up to £400 gross per day, depending on relevant experience and the agreed key deliverables. Please include your proposed day rate or fee structure when applying.
We are seeking an accomplished senior events professional to provide immediate interim support to our Global Fundraising & Engagement team. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will provide continuity, direction and hands-on support across agreed priority areas during a period of transition.
This flexible assignment is expected to require 2 to 3 days per week. The working pattern may vary according to programme needs, agreed deliverables and key stakeholder meetings. An immediate or very prompt start is required. You will work across the UK and US fundraising markets, bringing structure, pace and senior-level judgement to priority activity. Initial priorities will include reviewing the existing events programme, confirming the forward plan, progressing priority donor events, both in-person and webinars, and maintaining stakeholder momentum during the transition.

Flexibility to travel to London and other event locations in the UK to prepare for and deliver events is required. Reasonable travel and event-related expenses agreed in advance will be reimbursed separately from the day rate, in line with Compassion’s expenses policy.
You will be an experienced interim consultant or senior events professional who can quickly understand a complex global environment, identify what needs attention and deliver with minimal supervision. You will combine strategic thinking with a willingness to take hands-on ownership of priority events and stakeholder relationships.

The successful applicant will be engaged on an independent freelance/consultancy basis and must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to provide services, manage their own tax and invoicing obligations, and hold any appropriate insurance required for the assignment.
