Job summary

Cedar is partnering with a private equity-backed technology and services business in Central London to appoint an Interim Head of FP&A. This 6-month contract will see you own forecasting, modelling and MI to underpin the exit process.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will build robust financial models, analyse revenue and cash flow, and support vendor due diligence and buyer requests. The role is based in London with hybrid working 2–3 days per week and a day rate of £700-900.

Qualifications

• Experienced Head of FP&A/ FP&A Director at CFO-1 level.
• ACA, CIMA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Experience in private equity-backed environments and through exit or transaction is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Own forecasting, budget and long-range plan through the exit process.
• Build and maintain robust financial models supporting the equity story, valuation and buyer diligence.
• Develop bridges between historic performance, current trading, forecast and the longer-term plan.
• Provide detailed analysis of revenue, EBITDA, margin, cash and other key value drivers.
• Strengthen MI and KPI reporting to demonstrate underlying commercial performance.
• Produce scenario and sensitivity analysis around growth, pricing, margins, investment and other assumptions.
• Support the CFO with Quality of Earnings, vendor due diligence and buyer requests.
• Provide evidence for data room and transaction advisers.
• Drive forecasting accuracy and visibility over risks and opportunities.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to ensure defensible assumptions.
• Support Board and PE investor reporting throughout the transaction.
