Job summary

Cedar in London is seeking an Interim Financial Analyst for a 6-month contract. You will join a small finance team, supporting FP&A, modelling and commercial analysis.

Based in Central London with hybrid working 2–3 days a week, you will report to the Head of FP&A and CFO, delivering insights across revenue, profitability and KPIs while developing strong hands-on experience in a PE-backed environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills, with experience developing financial models.
• Experience within FP&A, commercial finance, transaction services, deals or a similarly analytical finance role.
• Comfortable working with financial and operational data and communicating findings clearly.
• Exposure to private equity, technology, software or B2B services would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Developing and enhancing financial models across revenue, profitability, cash and business performance.
• Enhancing existing FP&A reporting and improving the quality of management information.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and periodic reforecasting.
• Producing analysis of actual performance against budget and forecast.
• Developing scenario and sensitivity analysis to support commercial decisions.
• Analysing customer, pricing, margin and profitability data.
• Improving KPI reporting and helping turn financial and operational data into useful commercial insight.
• Supporting the preparation of Board, investor and transaction-related analysis.
• Providing modelling and analytical support to the Head of FP&A and CFO across ad hoc projects.
