Interim Financial Controller | Luxury Retail Brand | London/Hybrid

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a rapidly expanding international consumer brand in their search for an experienced Interim Financial Controller on a 6 month contract (Inside IR35).

The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a pivotal role responsible for leading the finance operations and technical accounting capabilities of the organisation. You will build and mentor a high-performing team, take ownership of complex multi-entity reporting, and ensure the business maintains exceptional standards across compliance, controls, and governance.

You will also partner cross-functionally to strengthen financial processes as the company continues to scale internationally, acting as a key voice for finance at senior leadership level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing finance team, ensuring strong capability across accounting and financial operations.
• Oversee the delivery of accurate, timely, and robust financial reporting, providing clarity and insight to senior leadership.
• Manage the full audit process, maintaining strong relationships with external auditors and presenting outcomes to the Audit Committee and Board.
• Drive the consolidation of multi-entity, multi-territory financials, ensuring a cohesive and transparent group-view of performance.
• Oversee cash management, including cash flow forecasting, FX exposure management, and the ongoing enhancement of treasury processes and financial controls.
• Ensure smooth, efficient financial operations across geographies, enhancing consistency in AP, AR, payroll, and cash management.
• Maintain oversight of financial compliance across various legal entities and business units, ensuring alignment with local regulations and tax requirements.
• Own and continuously refine the company’s key accounting policies (IFRS).
• Establish clear, measurable finance KPIs that support and align with broader organisational goals.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration, fostering stronger financial understanding and operational alignment across departments.

What We Need to See (Essential)

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting experience.
• Proven success in a Financial Controller or senior technical finance role.
• Experience managing multi-entity or international finance environments.
• Excellent understanding of financial controls, compliance, and best-practice processes.
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced, scaling organisation.
