Job Description:

Our PE-backed software client requires an Interim Financial Controller for 6 months initially. Reporting to the CFO and based near Birmingham, the role involves spending 3 days on-site per week. Overnight expenses can be covered if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the rollout of a new ERP system, embedding best practices, and improving data integrity and reporting.
• Own balance sheet management, ensuring revenue is correctly recognized and reporting is accurate.
• Manage and mentor a small finance team, driving continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency.
• Oversee cyclical controllership duties, including monthly close, year-end, and audit preparation.

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Experience within a B2B or software/tech business is advantageous.
• Strong background in private equity-backed or fast-growth environments.
• Hands-on approach with experience managing lean finance teams and engaging with senior stakeholders confidently.
