Job Description:

Charity People are working with a £10 million turnover NGO to recruit an Interim Financial Controller for 3-6 months based in Wakefield.

The organisation's working week is 4 days, offering a salary of £62,539 for four days.

The client seeks a candidate to start early June 2025.

Salary: £62,539 for four days per week

Must have: strong knowledge of Charity SORP and statutory accounts

Experience leading system upgrade or implementation

Hybrid work: going to Wakefield twice a week

Key priorities include:

• Completing annual accounts and audit (client is in final stages of audit)
• Coordinating financial system upgrade, managing and working closely with the Project Manager; the project has just started, and the system has been selected
• Leading payments, accounts payable, and receivable teams; one team member is relatively new
• Following up on audit findings

This role closes on 4th June 2025.
