Job summary

The CFO HQ is partnering with a fast-growing Nottingham-based manufacturing business to appoint an Interim Financial Controller. You will own the month-end close, lead monthly management reporting and strengthen financial controls across the site.

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience is required, with strong stock and cost accounting, margin analysis and close collaboration with operations and the leadership team. Contract role paying £400-£450 per day outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or strong qualified-by-experience considered.
• Experience in management accounts, financial control and month-end reporting.
• Experience with stock, inventory, standard costing, production costs and gross margin analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close and ensure timely management accounts.
• Lead monthly management reporting and financial analysis.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow and working capital.
• Maintain robust financial controls across the business.
• Provide analysis on costs, margins and production performance.
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial visibility.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Assist with year-end accounts, audit and statutory reporting.
• Provide financial support on business improvement projects.
• Act as finance partner to the senior leadership team.
