Interim Financial Accountant – Year End (Higher Education experience needed)

• Duration: 3 months
• Hybrid working, 2-3 days a week on-site in London

About the client

Morgan Law is seeking an interim Financial Accountant for a University in the London area.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team of 3 to close last year's accounts
• Report directly to the Assistant Director of Finance
• Use SAP, transitioning to Oracle
• Collaborate with auditors during their 4-week visit in mid-September
• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records
• Prepare financial reports and statements
• Liaise with departments and external accountants
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks

Experience

• Experience drafting and delivering UK University Financial Statements
• Good knowledge of FRS and the HE/FE SORP
• Experience dealing with auditors and queries
• CCAB / CIMA qualification or senior finance experience in a large organization
• Recent experience in the Higher Education sector
