Job summary

A leading financial services recruitment firm is seeking a newly qualified accountant to manage financial reporting and compliance for a global entertainment business. In this role, you will prepare financial statements, manage year-end processes, and analyze trends to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA and excellent communication skills. This position requires commuting to central London three days a week.

Qualifications

• Experience in the entertainment industry is a plus but not required.
• Previous experience leading Month end and preparing financial statements for multiple entities.
• Familiarity with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP) and tax regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Global Accounting Network are partnering with a global entertainment business. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the business. Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations across multiple entities (multinational/multicurrency).
• Prepare management accounts for Month End
• Own the year end process: Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Managing the reporting of quarterly VAT returns.
• Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful recommendations to the management team to support decision-making.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.

The Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong technical background.
• Experience in the entertainment industry is a plus but not required.
• Previous experience leading Month end and preparing financial statements for multiple entities (multinational preferred).
• Previous experience working with external auditors and leading the Year End process for at least 1 legal entity.
• Familiarity with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP) and tax regulations.
• Proven experience in driving process improvements and implementing best practicesxcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Able to commute 3 days per week into central London.
