Rutherford Cross is delighted to support a well-established business in Lanarkshire to appoint an Interim Finance Manager for a 4-6 month assignment. This role will play a key part in supporting the finance function through a busy year-end and audit period, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective stakeholder management across the business.

The candidate will be fully qualified CA with a strong technical accounting background, demonstrated experience guiding year-end

Qualifications

• Fully qualified CA
• Strong technical accounting background
• Experience supporting year-end and external audit processes
• Ability to operate effectively in an interim capacity and establish credibility
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across the organisation

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end reporting
• Act as the key finance contact throughout the external audit process
• Review and strengthen balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
• Assist with technical accounting matters and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Support the production of monthly management accounts and board reporting
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and challenge where required
• Mentor and support members of the finance team
