Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. is recruiting an Interim Finance Manager for a long-term, full-time contract near Newquay. The role leads the end-to-end finance function and reports to directors.

You will develop a small team, oversee payroll, VAT, cashflow, budgets and management accounts, with hands-on involvement and strong IT skills in QuickBooks and Excel.

Suitable professionals with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or AAT by experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Candidates ideally professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• AAT qualification and/or experience considered if qualified by experience.
• Retail sector experience advantageous but not essential.
• Strong IT aptitude with modern accounting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end finance function and controls.
• Develop a small finance team and mentor staff.
• Prepare and present management accounts with commentary.
• Manage cashflow forecasting and reporting.
• Prepare P&L and balance sheet reports.
• Oversee payroll processes and VAT reporting.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors.
• Oversee supplier payments and aged debt management.
• Assist in annual budgeting.
