The role is based in the UK with regular travel to Germany for an initial 6-month contract, offering a strategic finance leadership opportunity with exposure to board-level decision-making and cross-cultural collaboration.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of finance leadership experience.
• Proven track record leading integration, consolidation or transformation programmes.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop teams through change.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills (German & English).
• Willingness to travel frequently to Germany and onsite during the early phase.
• Self-sufficient, pragmatic problem-solver with strong commercial acumen.
• Background in logistics, supply chain or manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead completion of an ongoing integration programme with process harmonisation and financial consolidation.
• Manage and develop the local Germany finance team during a period of substantial change.
• Drive operational finance delivery and provide decision support to operational leadership.
• Establish governance, controls and reporting aligned with group standards.
• Identify efficiency opportunities and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Prepare the business for potential future growth and expansion activity.
• Build relationships across operational, procurement and central functions.
• Liaise closely with group finance and senior leadership on progress, risk and strategic priorities.
