Interim Finance Director | AI SaaS Scale-Up | 6-Month Contract

Harmonic is working with an AI/SaaS Scale-Up to recruit an experienced Interim Finance Director for an initial 6-month contract. The company has received significant funding (approximately £50m) over the last 2 years, leading to rapid growth in their finance team.

The Client

The client has developed a powerful SaaS product used by large corporations in the Financial Services sector. They have integrated AI into their services, which has resulted in significant customer growth over the past year. They are a market leader, with employees across the UK and US, mainly within the UK finance team.

The Role

This role involves managing a finance team of four, focusing on automating finance systems and ensuring a robust, future-proof FP&A function. The successful candidate should have a broad skill set and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. The initial contract is for 6 months, with potential to become permanent.

Duties

• Owning financial modelling and partnering with product and client engagement teams.
• Managing the accounting function and implementing process improvements.
• Supporting senior leadership with strategic financial insights.
• Owning the FP&A function, including revenue forecasting.
• Developing and presenting KPIs to the executive team.
• Enhancing internal controls.
• Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
• Experience leading finance teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and FP&A background.
• Understanding of financial controls and audits.
• Experience in a leadership role within a rapidly growing start-up or scale-up.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder partnership experience.
• Proven ability to improve internal processes and efficiencies.

Bonus Experience

• Experience in a B2B SaaS scale-up with a high-value, low-volume model.
• Leadership experience in a Series A to Series C startup.

Location: Hybrid, London HQ, open to remote options.
