Job summary

Marks Sattin Ltd is seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to support a growing organisation in South Yorkshire. The role is hybrid and initially 3-6 months with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will produce monthly management information, balance sheet reconciliations, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and drive improvements across finance processes while working closely with operational stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with relevant credentials.
• Experience producing management accounts in fast-paced environments.
• Strong Excel skills to analyse financial data.

Responsibilities

• Production of monthly management information and performance reporting.
• Preparation and review of key balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving outstanding issues.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Work with operational stakeholders to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy.
• Assist with month-end close activities including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Review existing finance processes, documenting procedures and implementing efficiencies where required.
• Support wider finance projects, systems improvements and ongoing transformation initiatives.
• Assist with year-end and audit preparation as required.

Interim Management Accountant

Hybrid Working 3-6 Months | Potential for Permanent

Competitive Day Rate / Salary Equivalent

We're supporting a growing organisation through a period of change and improvement and are seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join the finance team on an initial 3-6 month assignment.

This is a hands-on role that would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys bringing structure, improving processes and adding value within a busy finance function. There is potential for the position to become permanent for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production of monthly management information and performance reporting.
• Preparation and review of key balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving outstanding issues.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Work with operational stakeholders to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy.
• Assist with month-end close activities including journals, accruals and prepayments.

About You:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Previous experience producing management accounts within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong balance sheet and month-end accounting experience.
• Confident working independently and quickly getting up to speed in a new business.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
• Proactive, commercially minded and focused on continuous improvement.
• Available at short notice or immediately available.
