Job summary

Park Avenue Recruitment is seeking a detail-focused Facilities Compliance Officer for a 6-month contract in Greater Manchester. The role is hybrid, with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote, supporting the Property and Estates team on statutory building compliance.

You will conduct site audits, review FRAs, EICRs, Legionella and asbestos records, maintain compliance registers, and assist with PPM programmes and contractor oversight. Experience in local government or public sector is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Property Compliance, Facilities Compliance, Estates Compliance or Hard FM in corporate/property environments.
• Strong knowledge of statutory building compliance including fire, electrical, water hygiene and asbestos.
• Experience reviewing compliance reports, audits and monitoring remedial actions.
• Familiarity with CAFM systems such as MRI Evolution, Planon or similar.
• Experience in local government or public sector environments is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Undertake site compliance audits and inspections across the corporate estate.
• Review statutory compliance documentation including Fire Risk Assessments, EICRs, Legionella risk assessments and asbestos records.
• Maintain accurate compliance registers, certification records and action trackers.
• Monitor outstanding remedial works and liaise with contractors to ensure actions are completed.
• Support Planned Preventative Maintenance programmes and routine compliance monitoring.
• Assist with contractor oversight, compliance reporting and CAFM system updates.
• Provide operational support to Facilities Managers and the Property Compliance Manager.

Facilities Compliance Officer

250 per day 6-Month Contract Greater Manchester Hybrid Working

Are you an experienced Facilities Compliance Officer with a strong understanding of statutory building compliance?

We're working with a local authority in Greater Manchester, who are seeking a hands-on Facilities Compliance Officer to support its Property and Estates team on an initial six-month contract.

This role focuses on statutory building compliance, site audits, compliance documentation and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a varied corporate property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake site compliance audits and inspections across the corporate estate.
• Review statutory compliance documentation, including Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), EICRs, Legionella Risk Assessments and asbestos records.
• Maintain accurate compliance registers, certification records and action trackers.
• Monitor outstanding remedial works, liaising with contractors to ensure actions are completed.
• Support Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes and routine compliance monitoring.
• Assist with contractor oversight, compliance reporting and CAFM system updates.
• Provide operational support to Facilities Managers and the Property Compliance Manager.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in Property Compliance, Facilities Compliance, Estates Compliance or Hard FM.
• Strong working knowledge of statutory building compliance, including fire safety, electrical safety, water hygiene and asbestos.
• Experience reviewing compliance reports, undertaking audits and monitoring remedial actions.
• Familiarity with CAFM systems such as MRI Evolution, Planon or similar.
• Experience across corporate property estates, ideally within local government or the wider public sector.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

• Working Arrangement: 3 days per week on-site, 2 days remote
