Responsibilities

• Select and reject manuscripts for publication within editorial policy.
• Cover for absent colleagues or lack of subject knowledge in the team.
• Strengthen Nature Biomedical Engineering reputation by engaging with researchers.
• Develop broad subject areas as agreed with the team.
• Define topics for Perspective and Review Articles and edit manuscripts.
• Help team members with manuscript handling and participate in training and evolution.
• Participate in planning publishing strategy and contribute to journal developments.
• Maintain productive relations with editors, staff and other departments.
• Coordinate with marketing and advertising teams for sponsored projects.
