Job summary

Marks Sattin is supporting an interim opportunity for an Interim Divisional Financial Controller in North Manchester. The role is hybrid, with a strong office presence preferred, for a 6-9 month assignment on a competitive market rate.

The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and will own the divisional P&L and Balance Sheet, lead month-end close and financial controls, and drive transformation within a large service-based operation.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Technically strong with excellent financial control experience.
• Experienced in large, complex service-based businesses.
• Comfortable working with revenue recognition, accruals and IFRS 15 principles.
• Commercially aware and able to translate financial information into business actions.

Responsibilities

• Own the divisional P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Lead month-end close, reporting and financial controls.
• Support year-end and audit processes.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives and process improvements.
• Ensure strong governance, compliance and financial control.
• Manage revenue recognition, WIP and accrual accounting within a high-volume service-led environment.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across finance and operations.
• Lead and develop members of the finance team through a period of change.
• Implement sustainable solutions rather than short-term workarounds.
