Overview:

A fast-growing financial services organisation in Northern England is urgently seeking an Interim Director of Post-Merger Integration (PMI) to lead critical integration activity following recent M&A activity. This is a high-impact role for an experienced leader who can hit the ground running and drive integration across operational, cultural, and technical workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of post-merger integration initiatives across multiple business functions.
  • Align integration work with the strategic objectives of the business and ensure synergies are realised.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across departments including Finance, HR, IT, Risk, and Legal.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across integration timelines, people, and systems.
  • Track and report progress, providing regular updates to the executive team.
  • Support change management, communications, and cultural alignment efforts.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven interim experience leading complex post-merger integrations, ideally in financial services or other regulated sectors.
  • Able to operate autonomously and bring structure to fast-moving integration environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at C-suite level.
  • Previous consultancy background or experience in private equity-backed environments is highly desirable.
