Job summary

Police Scotland seeks an experienced senior leader to serve as Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the Digital Division for up to 12 months. Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in a high‑level role such as COO or Deputy Director.
• Proven track record leading Digital, Technology and data operations/service delivery.
• Experience managing substantial operational and capital budgets and investment programmes.
• Ability to oversee complex portfolios of projects across large organisations.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior stakeholders.
• Experience delivering organisational change and service improvements.
• Excellent communication to translate technical matters into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational management of the Digital Division and oversee service delivery, technology operations, governance, finances, programmes and people leadership.
• Drive digital strategy, innovation and organisational performance in collaboration with the CDIO and key partners.
• Oversee significant revenue and capital budgets and strategic supplier relationships to deliver digital services for policing across Scotland.
