Job summary

Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking an experienced senior manager to lead operational delivery across NHS services in Poole. You will ensure delivery of local and national performance targets, manage highly complex information, and drive change initiatives to improve service provision.

You will influence the strategic development and service improvements with Clinical Directors, General Manager and Nursing teams, and lead cross‑department projects as required by the Directorate.

• Acute NHS hospital operational experience.
• Extensive line management and problem solving experience.

• Present highly complex information to large, diverse teams.
• Lead operational delivery and implement change management initiatives to improve service provision.
• Influence strategic development and service improvements with Clinical Directors, General Manager and Nursing teams.
• Participate in strategic development and service improvement across the Directorate and lead specific projects as required.
• Portfolio may change in line with the Deputy General Manager’s development programme and service needs.

• To be responsible for ensuring that within all specific work areas all local and national performance targets and objectives are met.
• To provide and receive highly complex and sensitive information, then effectively present the information to large and multiple teams some of which may be resistant to hearing the information or charge.
• To be responsible for ensuring the operational delivery of services; leading and effectively implementing change management initiatives to improve service provision.
• To influence the strategic development and service improvement of services within the agreed portfolio, in conjunction with the Clinical Directors, General Manager and Nursing teams.
• To participate in strategic development and service improvement of other services across the Directorate in conjunction with the General Managers and relevant Clinical Directors, Clinical Leads and Heads of Department, leading and delivering on specific projects as required.
• The portfolio may change in line with the Deputy General Manager’s personal development programme and the needs of the services across the Directorate.
