Job summary

JSS is seeking an experienced Interim Data Transformation Lead to partner across business and technology teams, shaping the roadmap for data foundations ahead of ERP, digital or AI transformations. You will operate in a hybrid setup, bridging senior stakeholders and data teams while driving governance and quality improvements.

Responsibilities

• Assess current data maturity, quality and key pain points within the organisation.
• Develop and deliver data transformation strategies and roadmaps.
• Establish data governance, ownership and controls across functions.
• Improve data quality, cleansing and remediation activities.
• Lead Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
• Prepare organisations for ERP implementations and data migrations.
• Ensure data is fit for AI, analytics and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations and Technology leaders at senior level.
• Drive adoption and embed sustainable data practices across the business.

We are looking to connect with experienced Interim Data Transformation Leads who have helped organisations get their data foundations right ahead of major ERP, digital or AI transformation programmes.

This is not a pure technology or data engineering role. We are interested in transformation-focused individuals who can work across business and technology teams to understand the current data landscape, identify the key issues and establish a clear roadmap for improvement.

Key areas of focus:

• Assessing current data maturity, quality and key pain points
• Developing and delivering data transformation strategies and roadmaps
• Establishing effective data governance, ownership and controls
• Improving data quality, cleansing and remediation
• Master Data Management (MDM)
• Preparing organisations for ERP implementations and data migrations
• Ensuring data is fit for future AI, automation and analytics initiatives
• Working with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations and Technology
• Driving adoption and embedding sustainable data practices across the organisation

Experience we're interested in:

• Track record of improving data quality and governance in large or complex organisations
• Experience supporting ERP transformation, ideally across platforms such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Strong understanding of data governance, MDM and data migration
• Ability to bridge the gap between senior business stakeholders and technical data teams
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments where the organisation knows it has a data problem but needs help defining the solution
