Leading international transport client needs a Data & Migration Lead to build the data foundation for a Finance, HR and Procurement ERP transformation.
You will work with Phase 0 consulting partners and data engineers to map every data object across two legacy ERP estates and drive cleansing and governance for a single cloud ERP platform.
Key responsibilities:
- Confirm in-scope objects; check every partner count and catalogue.
- Document schemas across both estates and the target ERP; produce migration maps and flag gaps.
- Extend the inventory to customer, HR, payroll and banking systems, including spreadsheets and Access databases.
- Document volumes and interview stakeholders to capture field-usage quirks and local customisations.
- Write quality rules and design match-and-merge rules for one master record per supplier, customer, bank account and employee, with e-invoicing identifiers (VAT, company registration, Peppol IDs).
- Agree with data protection how profiling, test loads and AI trials treat personal data; name an owner and steward per object and maintain an object scorecard.
- Build migration pipelines for high-risk objects, scoring alignment issues before implementation.
- Set history per object, map object flows between systems and interim flows to each legacy system, and drive cleansing in remediation-plan order.
- Specify AI-ready data structures and supply anonymised data sets to the AI Experimentation workstream.
About you:
- 8+ years in data migration or governance on ERP programmes.
- Data modelling and profiling at volume, with hands-on SQL and analysis tools.
- Oracle E-Business Suite and Microsoft Dynamics NAV data models.
- On-premise to cloud ERP and HCM migration experience.
- Match-and-merge rules and golden records across merged estates.
- Knowledge of data structures that make AI work in an ERP.
- UK and EU GDPR knowledge for HR and payroll data, including special-category data.
- HR, Finance and Procurement concepts, plus autonomy and strong stakeholder interviewing skills.
- Post-merger dual-estate, rail or transport, Belgian/French/Dutch statutory data, retrieval and agent content preparation, Salesforce/SuccessFactors/Concur data, EU AI Act employment rules, and French (all desirable).
This is an initial 6-month contract, paying £650 per day (Outside IR35).
Hybrid: 2-3 days per week in London, the remainder would be remote, with regular travel to Brussels and Paris.
