Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions are seeking an Interim Data Privacy Specialist for an initial 3-month contract in the North West England area with hybrid working. Start ASAP, with a competitive daily rate inside IR35.

You will own a broad range of data protection matters, including SARs, complaints and DPIAs, ensuring UK GDPR, DPA 2018 and PECR compliance while advising stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience handling Data Subject Access Requests (SARs) for employees and customers.
• Experience managing and responding to data protection complaints.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and PECR.
• Experience carrying out Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Data Protection Practitioner Certificate or equivalent qualification; IAPP/CIPM/CIPP-E advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to SARs within statutory deadlines.
• Investigate data protection complaints and breaches and provide remediation plans.
• Provide practical data protection advice to business stakeholders.
• Maintain records of data protection activities and DPIAs.
• Ensure compliance with UK GDPR, DPA 2018 and PECR; support governance initiatives.
