Job summary

Robertson Bell are supporting a leading Higher Education organisation in London to recruit an experienced Interim Credit Controller on an interim basis for a 3 month contract.

The role sits within the existing credit control team and will manage a high volume of student queries about outstanding balances, payments and accounts, while supporting service desk tickets and a student telephone campaign.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on credit control experience, ideally including a dedicated Credit Controller position.
• Confident speaking to customers or students over the telephone and handling sensitive payment conversations.
• Experience handling high volumes of queries, emails and administrative tasks with attention to detail.
• Proactive and flexible to support the wider team when required.

Responsibilities

• Managing a high volume of student queries relating to outstanding balances, payments and accounts.
• Working through service desk tickets and emails, resolving queries efficiently and accurately.
• Supporting a telephone campaign to contact approximately 600 students regarding outstanding balances.
• Providing wider support to the team during busy periods, including assisting at the student-facing service desk when required.

The role will sit within the existing credit control function and will provide additional support during a particularly busy period, with a strong focus on managing student queries, clearing service desk tickets and emails, and supporting a wider telephone credit control campaign.

The role will involve:

• Managing a high volume of student queries relating to outstanding balances, payments and accounts.
• Working through service desk tickets and emails, resolving queries efficiently and accurately.
• Supporting a telephone campaign to contact approximately 600 students regarding outstanding balances.
• Providing wider support to the team during busy periods, including assisting at the student-facing service desk when required.

The successful candidate will have:

• Several years of solid, hands-on credit control experience, ideally including a dedicated Credit Controller position.
• Confidence speaking to customers or students over the telephone and handling potentially sensitive payment conversations.
• Experience working through high volumes of queries, emails and administrative tasks without losing attention to detail.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the flexibility to support the wider team when required.
