Interim Corporate Accountant - Local Authority | Fully Remote

Panoramic Associates is delighted to be supporting a Local Authority in the North in their search for an Interim Corporate Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and qualified finance professional to contribute to strategic financial management while enjoying the flexibility of remote working.

Key Details:

• Role: Interim Corporate Accountant
• Location: Remote
• Organisation: Local Authority
• Day Rate: Competitive & Negotiable
• Contract Length: 3-6 months (initially)
• Interview Date: Monday, 6th January

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning & Budgeting: Lead the preparation, monitoring, and management of budgets to support medium- and long-term financial strategies.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure the production of accurate financial statements and compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards.
• Strategic Advice: Provide insightful financial analysis and guidance to senior leaders and elected members to inform decision-making and support council objectives.

What We're Looking For:

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g., CIPFA, ACCA, ACA).
• Strong experience in public sector finance, particularly within Local Authorities.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, reporting, and compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
