1st Executive Ltd is seeking an Interim Commercial Manager to join a major public-sector organisation within Corporate Services. The role combines hands-on procurement across pre-contract strategy, tendering and governance with stakeholder engagement to shape commercial solutions.

You will lead from strategy through tender and evaluation, produce governance papers, and manage procurement processes in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-contract procurement, with strategy, tendering and evaluation
• Ability to draft governance papers and navigate approval processes
• Strong stakeholder influencing skills and ability to operate under pressure

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver pre-contract procurement strategies and routes to market
• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and shape commercial solutions
• Lead procurement activity from strategy through to tender and evaluation
• Draft high-quality governance papers and secure approval through internal boards
• Prepare tender documentation and manage the procurement process
• Apply market intelligence and data insight to develop options
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers and wider commercial teams
