Job summary

RM Recruit is delighted to support a charitable organisation in appointing an Interim Finance Manager for an initial six-month period. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity for an experienced finance professional who can quickly take ownership of a busy finance function.

Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee day-to-day finance, provide accurate financial information, and support budget holders and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience producing management accounts, budgets and cashflow forecasts.
• Experience with VAT returns, ideally within a charity or not-for-profit environment, with good knowledge of charity accounting and Charities SORP.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts with journals, accruals, prepayments, recharges, depreciation and fund analysis.
• Prepare and maintain cashflow forecasts and support financial planning.
• Lead the annual budgeting process with budget holders.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns including charity VAT considerations.
• Manage Gift Aid provisions and claims.
• Complete balance sheet, intercompany and other reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll liaison and provide information to payroll provider.
• Provide financial guidance to budget holders and non-finance colleagues.
• Offer ad hoc financial analysis and support to the COO and wider organisation.
