Job summary

Chase & Holland are working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business in Hull to recruit an Interim Assistant Accountant to support the finance team during a period of transition. The role focuses on day-to-day transactional finance up to trial balance and involves processing invoices, supplier payments, payroll assistance, and monthly reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a similar varied accounts role, including preparing accounts to TB
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Highly computer literate including Excel
• Team player and ability to work in a close-knit team
• Strong organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Raising and processing daily sales invoices, ensuring correct pricing
• Processing of credit notes and debit notes
• Purchase Ledger
• Checking, reconciling and processing supplier payments
• Credit Control
• Bank reconciliation
• Monthly reporting of Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger
• Assisting with payroll
• Managing employee expense claims
• Prepare accounts up to trial balance
• Prepare and post journals including prepayments and accruals
• Audit support

Interim Assistant Accountant - Hull - Competitive Salary

Chase & Holland are working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business in Hull, who are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to support the finance team during a period of transition for a minimum of 4 months, until at least the end of January 2027. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager this role will play an integral part in supporting the business with day-to-day transactional finance up to trial balance.
