Job summary

Chase & Holland are working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business in Hull, seeking an Interim Assistant Accountant to support the finance team during a transition period lasting a minimum of 4 months, through to at least January 2027. You will report to the Finance Manager and handle day-to-day transactional finance up to trial balance.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a similar varied accounts role, including preparing accounts to TB.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Highly computer literate including Excel.
• Team player and ability to work in a close-knit team.
• Strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Raising and processing daily sales invoices, ensuring correct pricing.
• Processing of credit notes and debit notes.
• Purchase Ledger.
• Checking, reconciling and processing supplier payments.
• Credit Control.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Monthly reporting of Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger.
• Assisting with payroll.
• Managing employee expense claims.
• Prepare accounts up to trial balance.
• Prepare and post journals including prepayments and accruals.
• Audit support.

Interim Assistant Accountant - Hull - Competitive Salary

Chase & Holland are working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business in Hull, who are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to support the finance team during a period of transition for a minimum of 4 months, until at least the end of January 2027. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager this role will play an integral part in supporting the business with day-to-day transactional finance up to trial balance.

Assistant Accountant key responsibilities:

• Raising and processing daily sales invoices, ensuring correct pricing
