Job summary

Mackie Myers Ltd is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a fast-paced, multi-site business on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is hands-on and requires developing and leading a team while staying actively involved in daily AP operations.

You will oversee the end-to-end AP process across multiple entities, ensuring strong controls, efficient processes, and excellent stakeholder engagement throughout the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing an Accounts Payable team within a high-volume environment.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Hands-on experience with purchase orders, 3-way matching, and multi-entity structures.
• Experience operating within a multi-site business.
• Strong SAP experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance operational delivery with process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of high-volume supplier invoices and payments.
• Oversee purchase order controls and 3-way matching processes.
• Maintain strong financial controls and compliance across the AP function.
• Partner with senior stakeholders, including Finance Directors, C-suite executives, and operational teams.
• Support process improvement initiatives and finance projects where required.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

Job description

We are recruiting an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a fast-paced, multi-site business on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys managing and developing teams while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day operation of a high-volume AP function.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process across a complex, multi-entity environment, ensuring strong controls, efficient processes, and excellent stakeholder engagement throughout the business.

This role requires the successful to be on site 4 days per week in Central London/.
