Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an Accounts Payable Manager in London for a 12-month fixed-term contract. Lead a team of eight AP professionals across multi-site operations, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely payments and strong controls.

You will work with senior stakeholders to drive process improvements, system enhancements (SAP ByDesign) and operational efficiency. The role requires multi-site experience, PO and three-way matching expertise, and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading a high-volume AP function with a sizeable team.
Experience across multi-site, multi-entity environments.
Background in property, real estate, hospitality, hotels or retail.
Hands-on SAP experience, ideally SAP Business ByDesign.
Strong knowledge of purchase orders and three-way matching.
Excellent financial controls, reconciliations and payment processes.
Confident communicator with senior stakeholders.
A proactive approach to process improvement and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop and motivate a team of eight AP professionals.
Oversee high-volume invoice processing, payment runs and supplier reconciliations.
Ensure robust financial controls, approval processes and PO compliance.
Manage complex supplier queries and payment escalations.
Support month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments and reporting.
Drive process improvements, automation and system optimisation.
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.
