Job summary

Dragados UK & Ireland seeks an experienced Interface Manager for the Euston Station project. You will establish and maintain interfaces between the Integrated Project Team and Technical Partners, supporting design, construction and handover while minimising disruption to day-to-day operations.

Lead stakeholder engagement, manage interface processes, chair interface meetings, and coordinate across engineering, construction and operations to enable safe and efficient delivery in a live railway

Job description

The Interface Management function is responsible for establishing and growing effective and collaborative relationships and interfaces between the Integrated Project Team (IPT) and Technical Partners through production and implementation of the IPT Interface Management Plan.

The Interface Manager for our Euston Station project will be responsible for managing the relationship and technical processes with their respective Technical Partner by supporting the design, construction and handover, all whilst ensuring that impact on day to day operations is minimised.

Key Responsibilities
  • To be the main point of contact with the respective Technical Partner and to establish strong working relationships with main stakeholders and set up formal and informal communications channels.
  • Provide subject matter expert advice, guidance and direction in relation to the Technical Partner to the wider IPT.
  • Ensure that all project processes and procedures for delivering works with the Technical Partner are fully aligned to the requirements within the Works Information and are kept up to date.
  • Ensure the interfaces and any operational or business needs of the Technical Partner are considered in all aspects of the implementation planning of the project.
  • Manage the interface in accordance with the project Interface Management Plan. This includes being responsible for the Interface Control Document, associated Interface Register and chairing and recording interface meetings.
  • Chair planning and co-ordination meetings between the Technical Partner and the project construction team and ensure that all needs are fully considered in the detailed planning and methodology.
  • Manage any possessions required as part of the construction project.
  • Identify and manage all activities that require asset or infrastructure protection and monitoring.
Project Specific
  • Major station programmes require operational expertise to be embedded throughout programme development, ensuring engineering, design and delivery decisions are informed by the realities of operating a live railway station environment. The Programme Interface Manager is responsible for enabling the successful delivery of major infrastructure programmes by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, infrastructure owners, regulatory bodies and delivery partners.
  • Reporting to the Head of Stakeholder Programme Delivery, the Programme Delivery Interface Manager provides strategic leadership across programme interfaces, ensuring stakeholder requirements, statutory approvals, operational constraints, governance and programme dependencies are identified, coordinated and integrated into project delivery.
  • Working across multidisciplinary teams, the Programme Delivery Interface Manager leads collaboration between engineering, construction, operations and third parties to secure approvals, manage programme risk and minimise impacts on live operationalenvironments. The role develops trusted relationships with Local Authorities, transportauthorities, infrastructure owners, emergency services, utility providers, and other influential stakeholders across the Euston area to enable safe and efficient delivery.

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience
  • Experience leading stakeholder, interface and programme coordination across major infrastructure, rail and transportation
  • Previous experience in a similar role with aligned responsibilities & accountabilities.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex external stakeholder environments.Excellence: Promoting innovation, development, training and continuous improvement to achieve the highest quality of project delivery.
