We offer Intensive Care nurses a wide range of regular and ad hoc shifts to suit your availability and commitments.

We are pleased to offer rates between £30.00 and £44.87 per hour.

Your day-to-day role as an ICU nurse

• Plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Assist patients with their activities of daily living
• Regular assessment and monitoring of patient’s vital signs
• Perform different types of observations and use various monitoring systems
• Operate and ensure the functioning of medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, feeding pumps, and monitors
• Administer medication via different routes
• Care for patients receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Prioritize care
• Recognize patient deterioration and escalate care promptly
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, patients, and relatives
• Work as part of a team
• Make appropriate referrals
• Keep accurate and timely patient records
• Work under pressure
• Problem solving
• Follow local policies and procedures
• Prepare patients for discharge or transfer to other departments

Requirements for ICU Nurses at Pulse

Minimum of 6 months recent ICU experience within the last 12 months, registered with the NMC, and two recent clinical references from within the last 12 months.
