The Audit Co-ordinator at Whittington Health NHS Trust leads ICNARC data collection within the Critical Care Unit, inputting patient data daily into a secure online system and producing required national reports. This role supports timely data submission and monthly/quarterly reporting for the unit.
The position also provides administrative support for the Follow Up Clinic, including minute taking, scheduling, and liaising with ICNARC, Critical Care Consultants and Nurse Leads to resolve data
The Audit Co‑Ordinator is primarily responsible for the Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre (ICNARC) data collection. This involves the daily collection and classification of patient's clinical data and demographics and uploading this data to online database platform. This involves being responsible for collating national mandated monthly and quarterly reports. The post holder will be working in a clinical environment within the Critical care Unit, which involves collecting data at the patient's bedspace. The critical care unit cares for the sickest patients in the hospital and supports their friends and relatives during their admission.
The post holder will be fully trained and supported by the clinical team in Critical Care, the post holder will be expected to manage this data, liaising with both ICNARC, Critical Care Consultants and Nurse Leads. The post holder will be expected to run monthly reports for unit and for areas outside of Critical Care, daily review of patient records within Critical Care to ensure data collection is completed in a timely manner and liaising with other hospitals sites for up-to-date data of transferred patients.
As well as the audit responsibility, the post holder will be the lead administrator for the Critical Care Follow Up Clinic and general Critical Care administration duties, including minute taking.
Daily collection and processing of physiological Critical Care patients' data to comply with ICNARC protocols and audits. Inputting clinical data into an secure online platform of all admitted Critical Care patients, this requires high level attention to detail and robust data cleansing.
In conjunction with the Critical Care Team, coordinate regular unit meetings such as clinical governance and Mortality and Morbidity meetings and staff meetings.
Work with follow up team to identify and enter spreadsheet potential patients for follow up clinic monthly.
When patients identified - send letters to all patients once discharged from hospital.
Following invite letter, to telephone patients and discuss dates for clinic using spreadsheet.
