Job summary

Meta is seeking engineers to investigate online abuse and build scalable tools for enforcing content quality across its platforms. You will collaborate with engineering, data science, and operations teams to deploy robust countermeasures against abusive behavior.

Successful candidates have a track record of identifying patterns in large, unstructured datasets, making quick data-driven decisions, and communicating results to diverse audiences within a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience investigating high-impact threats and online threat actors.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Strong critical thinking and clear communications.
• Experience coding in PHP, Python, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Identify and investigate online bad actors with the interest and capability to target Meta and its users.
• Work closely with others to identify sources of abusive behavior and take countermeasures to stop abuse.
• Lead technical investigations from start-to-finish and effectively communicate actionable results to different audience types.
• Manage multiple projects at once while prioritizing time based on team priorities.
