Job summary

Virgin Active is transforming into Social Wellness Clubs and seeking Integration Engineers (mid and senior) to join the Digital & Technology Transformation Team. You will design, build and support backend services, APIs and integrations powering our digital ecosystem using C#, .NET and Azure.

The role involves delivering secure, scalable solutions, collaborating with product, QA and frontend engineers, and contributing to sprint planning and technical discussions.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend services, APIs and system integrations using C# and .NET.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and its integration services.
• A good understanding of RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging.
• Experience integrating internal platforms with third‑party systems.
• Knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and integration failures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend services, APIs and integration solutions using C#, .NET and Microsoft Azure.
• Connect mobile applications and digital products with internal platforms and third-party systems.
• Develop secure, scalable and maintainable solutions using API-led and event-driven patterns.
• Work with Product, QA and frontend engineers to deliver high-quality features from design through release.
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to code reviews and engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, production issues and performance problems.
