Job summary

Thales is seeking an Integrated Test Technician to join the Manufacturing team in the UK. You will test, fault-find, and repair advanced electro-mechanical products, diagnosing faults to component level and ensuring work meets product specifications and quality standards.

You will maintain records, support Lean manufacturing practices, and work safely in a fast-paced environment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Practical electronics experience in test, repair or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills to component level.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematic diagrams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing/ERP systems.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.

Responsibilities

  • Test and repair electro-mechanical assemblies in line with specifications.
  • Diagnose faults to component level using schematic diagrams.
  • Complete production and repair activities to schedule and routing times.
  • Accurately record documentation and manufacturing data.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standards.
  • Follow company processes and local operating instructions.
  • Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe, organized working environment following 5S.

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Integrated Test Technician to join our Manufacturing team, where you'll play a vital role in testing, fault-finding, and repairing advanced electro-mechanical products.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong electronics experience who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively, and takes pride in delivering quality work.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Integrated Test Technician, you'll be responsible for testing and repairing a range of products in line with product specifications and quality standards.

You’ll diagnose faults down to component level and ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and safely.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Testing electro-mechanical assemblies in accordance with product requirements
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults to component level using schematic diagrams
  • Completing production and repair activities in line with planned schedules and routing times
  • Accurately recording documentation and manufacturing data
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards including ISO9001 and AS9100
  • Following company processes, procedures, and local operating instructions
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing practices
  • Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient working environment through 5S principles
  • Ensuring test equipment and tooling are available, calibrated, and fit for use

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Practical electronics experience within a test, repair, engineering, or manufacturing environment
  • Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills to component level
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematic diagrams
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and manufacturing/ERP systems
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
  • Strong organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
