Integration Accountant | South Manchester/Hybrid

If you’re an accountant working in an acquisitive business who enjoys the combination of technical accounting, project work and stakeholder management, this is an opportunity to get much closer to the M&A process and build broader experience across the acquisition lifecycle.

We’re working with a rapidly growing, Private Equity-backed financial services group pursuing an active buy-and-build strategy. As the business continues to scale, we’re looking for a qualified accountant to take responsibility for the financial integration of newly acquired businesses into the Group.

Importantly, you don’t necessarily need to have held an Integration Accountant title before.

The role could suit either:

• An accountant who has already worked in an integration role within a buy-and-build, consolidator or other highly acquisitive business; or
• A Financial Accountant or Group Accountant from an acquisitive, multi-entity environment who has had exposure to acquisitions and wants to make integration a much bigger part of their role.

Working closely with the CFO, Financial Controller and M&A team, you’ll be involved from completion through to full integration, bringing acquired businesses onto Group reporting, systems and controls, supporting acquisition accounting and helping develop scalable processes for future deals.

This is a newly created role, joining the business at a relatively early stage in its growth plan (has currently made around 12 acquisitions). With more than £100m of equity available to invest in acquisitions, there is a huge growth journey ahead and a real opportunity to play a part in building a much larger organisation – and to progress your career as the business grows.
