Job summary

Marshall Land Systems in Cambridge is seeking a hands-on Project Manager to lead delivery of complex defence and engineering projects, coordinating IPTs across engineering, production, procurement, and commercial teams. You will own project plans, budgets and risk management, using EVM, SPI and CPI metrics to drive informed decisions while ensuring cost, schedule and quality targets are met.

The role is on-site three days a week in Cambridge with occasional travel to South Wales and BPSS

Qualifications

• Front-line project management experience in defence, aerospace, engineering or regulated sectors.
• Experience delivering projects across bids, engineering, production and product delivery.
• Experience leading or working in multi-functional Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) in a matrix environment.
• Accountability for cost, schedule, quality and performance objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Integrated Project Team (IPT) and own project deliverables.
• Ensure requirements are understood, documented and managed.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets and responsibility matrices.
• Lead risk and opportunity management with mitigation actions.
• Monitor performance using EVM, SPI and CPI to support decisions.
• Support resource planning and forward visibility across bids and projects.
• Support governance and lifecycle management processes.
• Facilitate Lessons Learned to drive continuous improvement.
