UK Atomic Energy Authority is seeking an Integrated Modeller and Scenario Developer to exploit the JINTRAC core-SOL-divertor coupled transport code and its modules to understand global tokamak experimental results and validate new physics models.
The role involves developing advanced tokamak physics, contributing to international collaborations, guiding students, and delivering research outputs aligned with UKAEA priorities.
The salary for this role is £43,702 (inclusive of a Specialist Allowance) .nsite working is expected for 3 days a week, however, we actively support requests for flexible working.
This role can be based at any of the following sites: Culham, Oxfordshire.
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.

You will also be contributing to the advancement of core/edge transport codes, and work with code developers to develop/implement advanced tokamak physics and transport models.
Please be aware that this position is offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 2 years.
