Job summary

• Experience in engaging with service users with complex needs.
• Ability to work flexibly across inpatient, community and outreach settings.
• Training in motivational interviewing or willingness to undertake it.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated engagement caseload under CHIMES supervision.
• Undertake proactive outreach to service users who miss appointments or disengage.
• Build trusting relationships to support treatment engagement and access.
• Provide practical and emotional support to overcome barriers to care.
• Support access to substance use treatment and carry out initial assessments with supervision.
• Use motivational interviewing and brief psychosocial interventions to support recovery.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and safeguarding as needed.
