Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran invites applications for Integrated Midwives within our Maternity Services, based at Ayrshire maternity unit and community bases including the Isle of Arran.

These posts offer full-time 36 hours per week or part-time opportunities (minimum 27.6 hours) with a 24-hour service rota across days, nights, public holidays and weekends. A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Be a Registered Midwife with current registration on the NMC Register.
• Have a minimum of one year's post-registration midwifery experience.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and evidence-based maternity care.
• Possess excellent communication, organisational and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Work within an integrated model of care, providing high-quality, woman-centred care across all maternity settings.
• Deliver care across hospital and community services, across the full maternity pathway.
• Support women and families through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
• Be flexible to work across all areas of maternity care to support service delivery.
