Job summary

NHS Highland is advertising a fixed-term Band 6 Integrated Midwife post at Cowal Community Hospital in Cowal locality. The role covers antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care for women and families, with a community midwifery model and on-call duties from 19:00 to 08:00.

Working 30 hours per week, you will be supported by consultants from Greater Glasgow and Clyde and participate in training and development opportunities. A driving licence is essential to fulfil the community workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care to women and their families within the Cowal locality.
• Support women in their choice of place of birth within a community midwifery model.
• On-call duties from 19:00–08:00 to cover maternity care with support from on-call midwives and GP/AC E support.
• Training and development opportunities with GG&C consultants under a service agreement.
